Leah Remini’s ‘Scientology and the Aftermath’ to End With Explosive Special

The award-winning A&E docuseries “Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath” will end after three seasons with a two-hour special.

The show features ex-Scientology members Remini and Mike Rinder interviewing other former members about the alleged abuses with the controversial organization.

The two-hour finale is set for August 26 and will be filmed in front of a live studio audience of former Scientology members. The special will focus on allegations that the organization’s policies hinder members from reporting instances of abuse and sexual assault to the authorities.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the special will also delve into the accusations of rape against actor and Scientologist Danny Masterson. On Wednesday, four women filed suit on Wednesday against the Church of Scientology, alleging they were stalked and intimidated after reporting sexual assault violations against Masterson.

Masterson has denied the allegations, calling them “beyond ridiculous.” He has not been charged with any crimes.

“Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath” won an Emmy for Outstanding Informational Series or Special in 2017.
